Kylian Mbappe in irreversible final future decision as sole suitor emerges

Kylian Mbappe, France

Kylian Mbappe is ready to inform PSG that he won’t sign a new contract – with the Liverpool and Real Madrid target having just one destination in mind upon leaving France.

Mbappe is already one of the best players in the world at the age of 22. He is expected to be one of the main contenders for the Ballon D’Or when the time comes for Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo to retire. The forward has won three Ligue 1 titles with PSG, but his future in the French capital is in doubt.

Mbappe is out of contract in 2022, meaning he could be on the move this summer. It would still take a huge fee to persuade PSG to sell.

The Ligue 1 champions are not giving up hope though. They have offered Mbappe a huge new deal to stay, reportedly worth an incredible €30m a year.

However, OK Diario claims Mbappe will reject that deal and has told them he wishes to leave this summer. That decision is said to be final and his mind has been made up.

Furthermore, the Spanish outlet claims Mbappe has decided he wants to sign for Real and that Madrid is the only destination he’ll consider.

The news will come as a blow, of sorts, to Liverpool, whom Mbappe has long since flirted with.

“This season, Liverpool have been a machine in the Premier League,” Mbappe said last year. “They have made winning look easy but the truth is that it is never easy.

“Performances like they have been having don’t just happen.

“To be as ruthless as they have been would come from lots of hard work in training and from having a very good manager.”

Of course since then, Liverpool have somewhat lost their magic touch. Failure to qualify for the Champions League next season will hit their finances hard.

And while Jurgen Klopp will have cash to spend, a deal to sign Mbappe was never truly a serious option.

Suarez prefers Haaland over Mbappe

Discussing the merits of Mbappe and the other main contender to be a future Ballon d’Or winner, Luis Suarez has named his preference between the two stars.

And the Uruguayan frontman had no hesitation in naming the Norwegian as the world’s top hope going forwards.

“He is a great player and he is at a spectacular level,” Suarez told Gerard Romero in an interview (via Football Espana).

“He has an admirable physical power and he is one of the best No.9s in the world and he will mark an era.

“I prefer Haaland a little more, but Mbappe is at a very high level.”
